Teaching philosophy
I believe in a teaching that could question and critique deeply and rigorously. My experience shows the importance of keeping students’ minds open and helping them engage critically with evidence, theory, and policy. My pedagogy follows a structured cycle: it begins with a question, then involves examining the evidence, employing theory, models, and analytical tools to address or refine the question, and ultimately acknowledging the limitations of those answers to inspire new inquiries.
Beyond teaching, I have designed course curricula and co-led the design of a full bachelor’s program in Economics, as well as updated undergraduate curricula in International Business, Management, and Economics.

Through these themes, students explore key ideas from economic theory and policy responses, building critical skills to understand the role of economics and public policy in addressing these issues.

For first-year Economics students. Economic sociology examines how material and symbolic conditions of life are produced and reproduced through social processes. The course brings together sociology and economics to understand how economic life is embedded in social relations, focusing on two core concepts: markets and embeddedness. It compares economic and sociological views of markets, explores how societies shape markets and how societies, in turn, shape them, and applies these ideas to real-world cases through contemporary examples.
